Research & Clinical Trials


The Department of Ophthalmology actively participates in clinical trials in the areas of cataract, dry eye disorders, genetics, glaucoma, HIV and AIDS, laser vision correction, macular degeneration, retinal disorders, and pediatric eye disorders. Protocols sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institutes as well as protocols sponsored by pharmaceutical companies are currently recruiting study participants.
